Privacy Policy

I. Privacy Policy:

SteepRock has established this comprehensive privacy policy designed to help us respect and protect your data privacy rights. This statement includes both SteepRock’s European Union Privacy Statement and the Website Privacy Statement shown in Section II below.

Privacy Statement: SteepRock complies with the E.U. privacy regulations through the adoption of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses that are entered into by and between SteepRock and its customers.

As a part of the Privacy Policy, all individuals have the opportunity and option to choose (opt out) whether their Personal Information is (1) to be disclosed to a third party or (2) to be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. For ‘Sensitive Personal Information’, the individual has the opportunity and option to affirmatively or explicitly (opt out) consent to the disclosure of the information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. SteepRock will treat Sensitive Personal Information received from an individual in the same manner as the individual would treat and identify it as Sensitive Personal Information.

SteepRock uses a self-assessment approach to assure compliance with this Privacy Policy and periodically verifies that our Privacy Policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed and accessible, and is at all times in conformity with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. SteepRock will amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure its conformity to the most current requirements. If there is any conflict between the policies in this Privacy Policy and/or our Terms of Use and the Principles, the Principles shall govern.

SteepRock has also established a global privacy office and appointed an in-house Privacy Officer to oversee compliance to this policy and complaints. If a complaint or dispute cannot be resolved through our internal process, we agree to an independent dispute resolution process using an independent third party to help resolve the complaint or dispute.
