About the Position:
The Senior Director of Client Implementation and Engagement will lead end-to-end client implementations while bringing critical pharmaceutical industry expertise to every engagement. This role combines direct oversight of implementation activities with the ability to provide strategic guidance based on real-world field experience. You will ensure our solutions are implemented effectively while sharing industry's best practices in project management, launch excellence, commercialization strategies, and field team operations. This position requires both strong project leadership skills and deep pharmaceutical domain knowledge to drive successful client outcomes.
This is a fully remote role, with candidates welcome to apply from anywhere within the United States. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Implementation Leadership & Oversight:
• Lead and directly oversee end-to-end post-sale implementation processes, from requirements gathering through successful deployment
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and Client Engagement Liaisons to ensure seamless execution while maintaining project timelines and quality standards
• Monitor implementation progress, resource allocation, and milestone achievement across multiple concurrent projects
• Conduct regular implementation reviews and status meetings with both internal teams and client stakeholders
• Ensure successful knowledge transfer and training handoff to Client Support teams
• Troubleshoot complex implementation challenges and provide hands-on resolution when needed
• Provide leadership responsibility and accountability for on-time delivery and implementation of success metrics
Pharmaceutical Industry Subject Matter Expertise:
• Apply deep pharmaceutical field experience to guide implementation strategies that align with industry realities
• Provide expert guidance on project management, launch excellence, commercialization strategies, and field force effectiveness during implementations
• Share first-hand insights from medical and commercial field operations to optimize solution configuration
• Ensure system implementations meet client requirements, product and market alignment, workflows, compliance requirements, and field team dynamics
• Advise clients on industry best practices while configuring the platform to meet their specific needs
• Connect technology capabilities to real-world pharmaceutical business outcomes
• Leverage extensive CRM implementation experience to guide optimal system configurations and integrations
Team Development & Knowledge Transfer:
• Train and mentor Customer Support teams and Client Engagement Liaisons on pharmaceutical industry operations
• Develop implementation playbooks and frameworks that incorporate industry best practices
• Serve as escalation point for implementation challenges requiring deep pharmaceutical knowledge
• Build team capabilities through hands-on coaching during active implementations
• Create standardized approaches that blend implementation excellence with industry expertise
• Share CRM best practices and configuration strategies with implementation teams
Client Relationship Management:
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders by demonstrating both implementation expertise and industry knowledge
• Lead strategic implementation kickoffs and planning sessions with senior client executives
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions that uncover both technical needs and business objectives
• Drive adoption through change management approaches tailored to pharmaceutical organizations
• Identify opportunities for new products and services during implementation engagements
• Leverage industry network to generate commission-eligible revenue streams
Process Optimization & Best Practices:
• Continuously improve implementation methodologies based on pharmaceutical industry evolution
• Develop implementation frameworks that accommodate different therapeutic areas and commercial models
• Establish best practices for pharmaceutical-specific use cases and workflows
• Collaborate with product teams to incorporate implementation learnings into product development
• Document and share implementation successes and case studies
• Create CRM-specific implementation templates and configuration guides for common pharmaceutical use cases
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 5 years in field leadership roles (commercial sales, marketing, or medical affairs)
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex SaaS implementations or technology deployments in life sciences
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing and configuring healthcare CRM platforms for biopharma organizations, with expertise in any of the following:
- Veeva CRM and Veeva Vault (Clinical, Commercial, Medical)
- Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud
- IQVIA OCE CRM
- Other pharmaceutical-specific CRM platforms (e.g., Aktana, Pegasystems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Life Sciences)
• Deep understanding of CRM data models, integration patterns, and best practices specific to life sciences organizations
• Experience with CRM integration to master data management (MDM) systems, data warehouses, and marketing automation platforms
• Direct experience managing implementation projects with demonstrated ability to deliver on-time and within scope
• First-hand field operations experience with deep understanding of territory management, launch execution, or medical science liaison activities
• Expertise in pharmaceutical commercialization, launch excellence, and field force effectiveness

Technical & Implementation Skills:
• Experience with implementation methodologies, project planning, and resource management
• Understanding of requirements gathering, solution design, and configuration processes
• Proficiency with life sciences technology stack including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
• Hands-on experience with CRM configuration tools, workflow builders, and reporting/analytics modules
• Knowledge of API integrations, data migration strategies, and system validation processes
• Ability to manage project timelines, dependencies, and client deliverables
• Experience with limiting scope creep, operating and delivering with the scope of the project, managing change management and user adoption

Compensation:
• Commanding base salary range of $155,000 - $185,000, rewarding your exceptional expertise and industry leadership
